Meet Vik.
I build digital products by combining technical leadership with creative problem solving.
My Journey to Digital Product Leadership
I've been building websites since I was a kid, but took some wild detours before landing in digital products. Here's my story as a git timeline (because why not?)

Building Products That Make a Difference
Man, ideas are so fun. Got a thousand of them. But honestly there's nothing more satisfying than turning ideas into real-world products.
I've been lucky to work with some of the best developers in the world, both building products from the ground up and transforming pre-historic systems into modern tech stacks.
- Built and scaled an education platform from concept to successful exit.
- Transformed a 30-year-old enterprise product configurator into an intuitive digital experience.
- Modernized enterprise e-commerce from SAP to WooCommerce without losing B2B features.
- Collaborated with amazing development teams across multiple continents, including partners in India, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Austria.

But Do You Even Code, Bro?
Sometimes building enterprise products feels like stacking cars on top of ancient monuments. That's why I love to code small personal projects on the side. It keeps me sharp and up-to-date with the latest tech.
- I've built and deployed full-stack web apps using React, Node.js, ORMs, and third-party APIs.
- At work I've connected complex systems like ERPs, multiple CRMs, SQL and Mongo databases, and an assortment of payment gateways.
- After 20+ years of fighting Wordpress, I love to hand-code websites that use headless CMS frameworks.
- Currently I'm exploring Python automation to help friends spend less time on tedious tasks.

My Secret Sauce: Creative DNA
Sure, I can plan roadmaps and manage sprints with the best of them. But what makes products really special is the soul. That's where my creative background comes in handy.
Before products, I spent years crafting stories through film, photography, and design - working with companies like Dropbox, Mozilla, and PBS. Turns out those skills are perfect for building better products. Here's why:
- 01
User Perspective
I obsess over user experience like a filmmaker obsesses over audience reaction.
- 02
User Interfaces
My design background helps me give developers clear, inspiring mockups.
- 03
Storytelling
Storytelling helps me turn complex user problems into compelling product solutions.
- 04
Project Management
Years of media production with clients, talent, and crew taught me how to manage complex projects with demanding personalities.
Tech Stack
Here are some of the tools and technologies I use to build products and manage projects.
